Other names: Melu (derived from ‘melui’, sindarin for sweet, lovely)

Residence: Elvenking’s Halls, later Ithilien
Appearance: slightly tall for a Nandor; unathletic body; dark brown, straight and quite long hair that is often styled with little braids; golden-brown eyes; thin face with a pointy chin; pale skin; slightly feminine looks (and behaviour )  
Voice: very clear and beautiful singing voice; speaks in a silver ton, but when singing he is able to cover several voice levels
Family: His mother died in an accident as he was a child. His father, Sulavan, is a very strict military type of guy and not only a councillor to the king, but also the brother of the late queen, which makes Thranduil Glorion’s uncle and Legolas his cousin.

Friends: Legolas, Indil, staff members of the his family, but else prefers to stay alone and away from people

Description: Glorion is a pretty insecure elf, who dislikes any duties at the king’s court, but would prefer to study nature by himself. The only tasks he likes to do for his uncle is sing/perform music, document events and write down whatever needs to be. He is one of the few elves in the Mirkwood Realm who would like to put down all kinds of things on paper, since his people would usually spread information by word or song and not in writings.
Besides being the documentalist and archivist for the king Glorion also likes to describe and draw all kinds of things he finds in nature preferable plants. And he also loves writing poetry and song lyrics, putting down both what he hears from others and what he makes up himself.
His father thinks his work is useless and a waste of time, since he would prefer his son to be a warrior like him, but Glorion is totally different in mind. He is calm and melancholic, especially since he saw his mother -whom he was very attached to- die. Although he can defend himself he is quite clumsy and not skilled good enough for professional combat. Despite he is often enough ordered/forced to lead combat missions. Usually the only reason they never turn out to be a complete disaster is because he had one of his few friends support him. 
His clumsiness and dopey attitude is not only a reason for his father to degrade him, but also for others to make fun of him, which is why he avoids people and all kinds of stress. His attitude results mostly of him being absent-minded and not well-concentrated.
Thranduil does not agree with his brother-in-laws parenting and is more understanding and kind towards his nephew. Also Indil and Legolas would constantly protect Glorion which he is both thankful and ashamed of. But he cherishes the few people that treat him with respect. He feels particularly related to Indil since both have similar issues with their fathers and because she would support him even when his cousin is fed up with him.
Before meeting Tilion Melu is quite dependant, but then starts to be strong if only to support Til. After hearing Til's story he promised himself to do all to make him happy before even understanding that he actually loves Til. It takes a bit for Melu to not only understand that he is in love but also that it is a guy that he loves. But once he is sure about it, he does all to court Tilion and is proud about their relationship, not letting anyone harm Til or or even make the slightest rude remark. He also weds him although his father denies them his blessing.
