When seeing pictures of the northern lights remember that the camera makes them brighter than they are seen with the bare eye 
I guess that ruins the beauty of them though 
.
Just so you have an idea: at that moment I could hardly see that there was snow on that mountain and definitely couldn't recognize a single piece of gras in front of me. But never the less the northern lights still remain a beautiful sight and during times of extreme sun activity can get very bright even seen with the bare eye
.
And btw the reason the stars are not clear dots but little lines is due to the rotation of the earth which can be visible even within the 20sec I took that picture. They 'make a circle' around the northern star which is not on the picture but somewhere off to the top left.

I think this one is realy nice - my next fav is the one with the "the boat who ruined the photo with it's bright light" - wich I did mention there,I don't think it did XD
I still think this ones pretty neat as it look so peacefull and serene,
allmost sureal *or how that is spelled hmm*
like it would be 3D-ish instead of realism : D
