Assorted Wristlets

Those I made spontaneously yesterday .

I came across a bag of leftover materials and thought I might as well do something with it and here we go. You might recognize the materials from previous clothing I made .
The orange ones were the greatest pain! The material is a very stretchy and therefore it will not stay in place when sewing with the machine. Actually I just wanted to have them as is without any ribbon or border. But the damn machine constantly 'swallowed' the material which left some holes. This was really a big pain and I actually was so mad I threw the wristlets in the garbage only to pick them out an hour later :-P
I actually had to screw the lower part of the machine appart to remove the caught material without ripping it further. And I have cuts all over my fingers because of the sharp parts of the machine. On the back of one of the wristlets is a large blood stain that I wanted to take a pic of, but real blood is not aloud to be shown on dA

ANYWAY to fix the damage I used some ribbon to cover the holes around the seam. The border of the green wristlets was some old stuff I had from my grandma but never knew what to use it for because it was cut so short, but it did exactly fit the wristlets. That material I used for it is from a witch coat I made and that yet needs to be uploaded .

Once I found a more fitting leather band for the brown ones with the rivets I'll probalbe change it.
The brown material is real wool and extremely warm. I like wearing wristlets at the computer for when my hands get cold.
